Marketing pressure and display delay

For each message format (push , in-app , alerts), you have the possibility to limit the number of messages to send / display to a mobile user in a given period ; in other words, to define a marketing pressure.

The purpose of this feature is to help you to better manage the flow of communication to your customers.

On the interface to define a marketing pressure, just go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Category Marketing pressure and Display delay > Tab 1. Marketing pressure

For each format, fill the message volume that you wish to send to your mobile users according to the granularity minutes, hours, or days, and then click the Save button at the end of page.

On the message form a check box nammed " marketing pressure" is planned. Please note that, once you have defined a pressure for a given format , this box will be checked by default for every new message.

If you do not want to include a message in the defined marketing pressure, simply uncheck the box

  • Push notifications

  • In-app / Scheduled alarms

Operating of marketing pressure

The principle is simple : during each new sending or display a message under pressure, we will check if the mobile user has not already reached the volume of messages on the defined period ; depending on that,  the message is sent / posted or not.

For example :

  • Push notifications: you set a pressure of 5 messages over a period of 5 days. Before a new sending, it will be verified if the mobile user has received more than 5 pushs during the last 5 days. If it has already received 5 pushs, he will not receive a new push . However, if you disable this check-box on the form, there will be no check and when you program a push , it will be sent without pressure condition .
  • In-app or scheduled alarms: you have programmed several messages eg A, B , C, D , E, and set a maximum pressure of 2 to display messages per day . At this level, we will check before each new display, if  the mobile user has not been subjected to more than 2 messages in the past 24 hours. If he has already seen two posts, he will no longer be subject to a new message.

Display delay

The display delay mainly concerns the in-app messages and scheduled alarms. This is the minimum time that must elapse between the display of two distinct in-app messages or two distinct scheduled alarms.

This is also in order to help you to adjust the number of visual messages that will be displayed  to your mobile user.

On the interface, it is  defined such as the marketing pressure in Advanced settings > category Marketing Pressure and display delay > Tab 2. Display delay

For each format you have the granularity in minutes, hours, days.

Then on the message form, a check box is also provided and checked by default if you set a display delay. If you don't want to apply the display delay to a message, simply uncheck the box.

  • In-app message

  • Scheduled alarms

Operating of display delay

The display delay here involves two in-app messages or two distinct scheduled alarms A and B.

For example, you can set a minimum of 3 minutes between two same message in app A and set a display delay  of 20 minutes before the display of in-app message B. We will check before the display of the message B if it actually lapse of 20 minutes since the last message display A .
